We are currently offering the Classic Frosted Crystal Bowls in sizes ranging from 8” to 18”.

Within this range we carry some True Tone Bowls (perfectly tuned to a note) and others which are slightly out of tune. These variations create opportunities to explore both harmony and dissonance. Additionally, we carry a small selection of Crystal Tones Alchemy Bowls. These bowls are produced using materials such as Smokey Quartz and Platinum.

Each bowl is made of the highest quality (99.992% pure!) quartz crystal, making them incredibly resonant.  The tones produced by the bowls are not just heard by the ear, they are felt by the body.  Each bowl is created through a unique, patented manufacturing process resulting in a strong and incredibly pure in tone.  Crystal Tones works with the intention and commitment to serve clients needs at the highest level.

How can you find your perfect bowl?

We recommend that you take the suede mallet on display and gracefully strike a bowl so you can experience it’s unique frequency.  Notice your reaction to the sound.  Take a mental note of the bowls that resonate with you.  Once you have identified 3 or 4 you can take them down from the shelf and you can play them a bit longer in order to identify the best fit for you.  Please be aware that the bowls can get very loud which can result in damage to the ears and the bowl itself.

Pricing

Bowl pricing is generally based on size, the bigger the bowl, the higher the price.  There are a few exceptions:  1) True Tone (TT) - These are bowls that carry a frequency that is precisely the note indicated on it’s sticker.  Non-TT bowls are either slightly sharp or slightly flat.  The precision of the frequency, in my opinion and experience, is only important when you are playing with an instrument such as a harp because of it’s more ridgid tuning.  True Tone bowls are rare because of the way they are created using a mold and extreme heat.  2) F and F# bowls are also priced higher by Crystal Tones because of the high demand of these notes which are associated with the heart.

Add-Ons - Cases and Mallets

1. The purple cases come in 12” and 10” sizes.  They are capable of holding 3 bowls stacked together.  When stacking we use a thin white padding to ensure that the bowls are stable and are not touching one another when nested. Our cases are priced at $200 for the 10” bowl case, and $220 for the 12” bowl case.

2. Mallets with wooden handles and rubber tips are also available for purchase.  These can help create a different texture to one’s playing. We offer the rubber mallets for $22 and the Zen mallets for $15.
